OLD MEN IN POWER!!

Hi guys!!
Some of you would be wondering by now what the title of this post is all about but I ask you not to be as I would get to that in a bit. This has been pondering  my mind for quite some time now, I must say!! Why are old men within the age of 65-79 years of age👴 elected into power as Rulers/Leaders whereas in the Labor force or Health sector are told to retire at the age of sixty because they are termed not physically fit for Job performance😏.....Like for real!! I am confused.

The human body is a complex one and from the age of 40 in both men and women, we are more prone to have developed several chronic diseases. Even from the age of 60 years, the human body(physically) isn't the only thing that undergoes changes, the human mind as well!!. There may be mild disturbance in the level of thinking, behavioral changes and lastly who doesn't know that old people are very stubborn, they like things to be done a certain way as they believe that their way is usually the best (which isn't true in most cases), irrespective of changes in time and environment. Like an African says " What an old man would see sitting, a child won't see standing up"💁

But who has this parable helped in the Game called politics? We see videos and pictures of rulers sleeping every day in the house of assembly and creating nuisance each day either with a prostitute or just oppressing the rights of the poor. Just in case you are wondering, I am referring to my country Nigeria. This is a country whose leader has made a bold statement to the world, at how corrupt the country is. Disregarding the effect of such statement on the lives of several Nigerians (who would want to employ a citizen from a very corrupt country abroad?) Fine!! The present administration was able to recover billions of Dollars and Naira stolen but to whose gain, because as you can see from the news👇, Nigeria is still stated BROKE👀👀!! This leads to the question....Where do recovered money/lofts go to??

For a country that is broke and currently in recession, I must say that we are pretty 'NOSEY' as well!! What in the world is going on? How is it that there isn't no money in the country to pay health care workers, lecturers, teachers and even some people in the labor force but you have money to support another country's presidential  campaign. Like for real!! There are boiling issues in the country 'Nigeria' but I am so surprised that we can afford such luxury and gamble👇.
To add salt to the injury, how can you support a candidate's campaign financially and show real support to the oppositional party after the lost of your "supposed" candidate. When would Nigeria mind it's own business sef? When would we realize that we alone can make our country better? Why can't we learn from countries like Russia and China, countries that have learnt to be very Independent and mind their business religiously.
I marvel at this silly and unnecessary greeting from my current president to the President-elect Trump, because this is a man that has shown openly his hate for Africans, precisely Nigerians. So why the "Fakeness"....Why the chameleon attitude?....Why was Mr M.Buhari so quick to show his approval over Trump's win?
These are a few Words from the mouth of Donald Trump himself👄, These can be found all over the Internet. I find this so Insulting but quite true!!.....Our leaders sometimes never ceases to amaze me though, always looking for approval from the 'white man' forgetting that gives him a feeling of superiority over you. Sometimes I don't blame people like Donald trump that calls us out...Why won't he?

  • We Africans are bless with so great mineral resources but what do we do, because of greed and our selfish behaviors... we do the hard labor of cultivation and excavation then send our raw materials abroad to be refined. Like why, why teach students all about the fractional distillation process to refine crude oil, when that same student would never see crude oil refined in her country all her life.
  • We built Refineries just to occupy space and make history, just because of one man's greed.
  • We have good lands and weather, agriculture is taught like no man's business but yet we import things like rice, groundnut, cashew nut etc.
  • We talk about increased crime rate......When there is no employment opportunity for graduates out there.
  • Why won't the youths want to leave his/her country to work anywhere for some foreign currencies......When naira has been devalued and nothing seems to be done about it because it is beneficial to some few rich men.
  • Why won't other countries choose to mock us....when you appreciate toothpick made abroad and sold expensive than your country's own products.
  • In short why teach economics, when Nigeria's form of administration and governorship defines everything I have been taught in school.

Anger won't do nothing and with that I end here? What do you think about this write up? Comments are welcome in the comment section below....Thanks for visiting once more.
