HALLOWEEN MAKEUP "02"

Hi guys.....
Finally it's Halloween!! Happy Halloween celebration to those that are opportune to celebrate, as for me I am just stucked up in my room trying to write this post as fast as I can, so I can go back to my books. If you are just seeing me in this state for the first time.....My dear where have you been na? I created my 1st halloween look some days ago and you can CLICK HERE to direct you to the post.

I had to create this look as some people felt the previous one wasn't scary enough and this would enable you choose the look to go for. Unfortunately, I won't be writing out directions for this look because I doubt if anyone reads them. If you want me to give a detail description and direction for this look, please write "YES" in the comment section below and I will do so but for now kindly feed your eyes with pictures.
This look is called the GANGSTER CLOWN SKULL LOOK.... You can do your research on YouTube and you would see several of them. I recreated the look made by makeupshayla on YouTube some days ago. It was an interesting process and this brought out the artist in me,... a little TMI Lolzz ( Too Much Information) I do love drawing and know how to do so, so this was like art to me and my face was the palette

I made do with my already existing makeup items and did not purchase any product for this art work (laughs) In order words, what I am trying to say is that "you can always improvise".

Thanks for visiting my blog once more...You can add me to your circles by clicking the GOOGLE+ sign on the sidebar or subscribe to the blog my registering your email on the popup request. KISSES everyone and happy Halloween celebration once again!!

HALLOWEEN MAKEUP!!

Hi guys!!!(ROAR)

I have always wanted to play makeup for Halloween being that it is celebrated in the country, I currently school in. Halloween also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve,or All Saints' Eve is a celebration observed in a number of countries on the 31st of October. This day is dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints, martyrs and all faithful departed. I didn't know what Halloween meant or represented some years back because it isn't a traditional or religion practice in my country Nigeria but now that exposure has become the new modernization and we tend to copy practices that are interesting to us. You can observe that celebrations are held in top states such as Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria.
I am sorry to say that I was unable to participate in any Halloween activity this year which includes trick or treat, costumes parties, decorating and carving out pumpkins, pranks, watching of horror movies, telling scary stories and even lighting candles on graves of the dead. School has been hectic and I did this makeup kinda in a hurry, as this makeup was done immediately after my class on Friday. I wish I had somewhere to go to after this makeup but the cold and boring Belarus of a country had no awesome event, I was yielding to go for.

I was inspired to create this look just because of my big, voluptuous hair. It just made the process quite easy for me. This isn't a scary look and can be worn out to clubs of even daytime parties celebrating Halloween.
LION MAKEUP

BROWS AND EYES
I started off by applying a face moisturizer (DSM carrot face moisturizer) which I followed off with a primer (I used the Nivea after shave balm for sensitive skin as a primer). I applied my foundation (MAC matchmaster 8.5) some few minutes later, after allowing the primer air dry then I moved to the eyes.
I outlined my eyes using an eye pencil I brought from Nigeria( Air woman 003) and filled it in with an eyebrow powder(Rimmel). I cleaned my brows up using L.A girl pro concealer in cool tan but extended the concealer to my eyelids, so it serves as an eye shadow base. I started the eyes by cutting out my crease with a deep brown eye shadow and followed it up with warm red, I deepen the crease at the edges with a matte black eye shadow then I outlined my crease with a black gel liner( Inglot 77) softly, forming a wing at the end. I filled my eye crease with another bronze gel liner( Inglot 96) where after I topped it with a golden bronze eye shadow glitter.
I draw another black wing line above my top eye lashes, forming a thin but sharp wing (The space between the two winged lines made, I filled with a white eye shadow). I used a cream color eye pencil to line my water line, then I drew a black line carefully below the white water line. I applied a golden shimmer eye shadow in my inner tear ducts and topped my natural lashes with two coats of Maybelline waterproof mascara and I was done with the eyes( I didn't put on falsies).

FACE
After the foundation has been left sitting on the face while I was working on my eye makeup...I noticed it had oxidized( perfect!!). I applied my L.A girl pro concealer( cool tan) on my forehead, in an upside down triangular form underneath my eyes, on the bridge of my nose and from the top of my mouth to underneath my nose(you want this concealer a little bit obvious), I blended out the concealer and set my face with bright loose powder. I used a powder contour for my nose and cheeks ensuring that the nose contour was a little bit noticeable thereafter I applied a rose color matte blush on my cheeks, ensuring to blend both the blush and contour effectively. I then applied my normal shade in Maybelline powder all over my face with a sponge, after which I highlighted my nose ,cheeks and forehead.

NOSE AND MOUTH
I used the same black Inglot gel to carve out my nostrils(1 cm) then painted it jet black and drew a line from my nostrils to lips. I also drew little dots above my lips as you can see, then painted my top lip jet black also using same gel liner. The bottom lip is usually kept nude for this look and for that I used a pinkish nude matte lipstick( Inglot 410). I finished off the look by spraying my face with Inglot makeup setting spray.

This was fun for me as I do enjoy playing makeup, I hope I was able to explian this makeup procedure to the best of your understanding....Thanks for visiting my blog once more, you guys are appreciated#KISSES

CHICKEN PEPPER SOUP!!!

The weather in Belarus right now is something else, ranging from +7 to plus -1, as in what now!!  We aren't even in winter yet. Anyways this cold weather got me craving my country's dish PEPPER SOUP (one has to keep the body warm ooo). This soup is mostly prepared by Nigerians and it is one meal that is eaten by people of all tribes in Nigeria. I love the versatility of this soup. It can be prepared with different kinds of meats and fish, from dried to fresh meats and with different kind of leaves for additional flavor. The taste of this soup varies depending on your choice of meat or fish and also your supplement.

I was taught by my mum and aunt that lemon grass leaves goes well with goat meat or any kind of bush meat pepper soup while scent leaves goes well with chicken and fresh seafood pepper soup, this may vary for some people tho. I made this chicken pepper soup with scent leaves and also some  bell peppers for additional flavor and coloring. Who doesn't like a colorful bowl of soup?(winks), when I tell you this soup was delicious, believe me!! Without wasting more of your time, may I give you a run down of the cooking procedures.

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole chicken (old layer)
  • 2 Tbsp of Dried grounded pepper
  • 1 and a 1/2 Tbsp of grounded pepper soup spices
  • A bit of fresh ginger
  • 3 gloves of garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp of dried scent leaves (less than a handful of fresh scent leaves)
  • 1 bell pepper of choice(or bits from different colors)
  • A little less than 1/2 Tbsp of salt
  • 2 cubes of Maggi (chicken flavor)

Directions

In a cooking pot, put in the cleaned chopped chicken. Add in one stock cube, one tbsp of dried grounded pepper, fresh ginger, 3 gloves of garlic, a pinch of salt and 1/2 a liter of water and cover pot lid. Allow the chicken cook for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, open pot lid add extra Tbsp of grounded pepper, add extra salt to taste and add your pepper soup spices (I added extra 3 Strands of African negro pepper). At this stage you can add in your chopped bell peppers, extra 1/2 a liter of water and the last cube of Maggi to taste. cover pot lid and with cooker set on medium heat, let soup cook for extra 10 to 12 minutes......VIOLA!!. Soup is ready😋😊.

This soup is served along side carbohydrates such as yam, unripe plantain or rice. I ate mine with rice, as that was the only carbohydrate within my reach as present, most men prefer taking the soup alone, along side a bottle of chilled beer😉. I hope my directions were helpful to you....Thanks.

What do you take along side pepper soup and what meat or fish do you prefer with this soup. your comments are welcome in the comment section below. Thanks for visiting my blog

AN EX'S DILEMMA"PART 2"

The next morning🌖 was a happy one for Ayo, she had woken the whole house up with loud music bursting out🎶of her room. Ayo Ayo don't kill us with all this oyinbo music ooo screamed her mother from the living room downstairs...too late Ayo was in her own world humming and dancing 💃around her room as she sorted out the things, she bought from the States back home for her loved ones👭. All she needed to do next was help herself to breakfast and hop off to her father's best friend "Alhaji sari" for a tour around his company and business meeting. Her main reasons for coming back was to secure a contact worth millions of Naira, her father's friend had promised her and also to gather some basic knowledge of how companies function in Nigeria. Funny enough if things turns out well, she wouldn't be securing contacts alone but a man's heart as well💘.....Segun's of course😉.

CULOTTES IN FALL...

COLLABORATION

Hi guys!!...So I collaborated with a fellow blogger and friend of mine for this blog post and I must say, I enjoyed every bit of it(smiles). 'Chiny' is a shy one but I was surprised and found myself laughing for some few minutes because I saw a side to her, I had never seen before. She was so confident and moved with great elegance. Anyways, before I talk too much....I guess you can see that from the pictures. It was great pleasure having someone pose with me on the boring streets of Belarus and share piercing looks from strangers. I tell you, we had real fun (winks).

Culottes are women's knee-length trousers, cut with full legs to resemble a skirt for those that haven't guessed that by now. I was drawn to this in particular because of my love for loose, free clothing and secondly because it was on sale!! (nobody got time for full prices of clothing in this Buhari's economy lolzz). My friend 'Chiny' went for a corporate look by styling her's with a white decent and chic chiffon top while I styled mine with a burgundy cut-out turtle neck sweater and a hat to match. I went for a bold casual-chic look that reflects my crazy and playful side (smiles).

Feel free to checkout my friends blog by CLICKING HERE, she's a lifestyle blogger and writes stories that may catch your fancy(winks)

Looks styled
  • A Corporate look(Chiny): This look is more business appropriate and can be wore to church, even to the workplace with a pair of flats thrown on. This also would be very comfortable for a chilled day out with friends.
  • A Bold casual-chic look(Uzzy) This look is kinda playful and can be worn "maybe" to church, business meetings and "for certain" a date out with friends. This can also be worn to school without the hat and a pair of flats thrown on.

AYAMASE(OFADA) STEW!!!

Ayamase also known as Designer Stew  is a very popular dish among the people from Abeokuta(Ijebu's) State, Nigeria. This meal is served locally along side the famous Ofada rice and I guess that was how the name "Ofada stew "came about. This was my 1st time trying this meal and I tell you!! It was worth the try. The mixture of fried locust beans, fresh bonnet peppers and meat stock got my kitchen smelling like Heaven. This meal is one easy but delicate one to make as everything has to be fried properly and it isn't one to be left unattended in the kitchen because the cooking process is quite fast and several ingredients are added on a specific time.

My yoruba people I hail oo!! for real, this meal was delicious and I was surprised at such local sweetness. Being that I am from Delta State, Nigeria and I have lived in my State all my life(kinda), this was my 1st time experimenting such deliciousness lolzz, All I had in my head was the popular Aya Mase name nothing else but now....The story has changed(hurray). Don't mind me and my many talk, let me give you guys a run through of the food preparation.

Yield: about 6 servings.

Ingredients

  • Shaki/Towel meat (Rectum of a cow)
  • Cowleg meat
  • Smoked beef
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 1 cup of palmoil (roughly less)
  • 12 seeds of Scotch bonnet peppers (not fully ripe)
  • 6 red chilli peppers
  • 10 fruits of tomatoes (not fully ripe)
  • 1 large onion (chopped into tiny bits)
  • 2 Tbsp of grounded crayfish
  • 2 wraps of Iru (fermented locust beans)
  • Beef stock (water from spiced up, cooked beef meat)
  • 1 Tbsp of dried chilli pepper(optional)
  • 2 maggi cubes
  • 1/2 Tbsp of salt
  • N.B....Total quantity of meat used was up to 3/4 cups and I blended all peppers and tomatoes with by adding little water to the blender to avoid friction. Then I steamed the blended tomatoes till it became thick and reduced in quantity. I blended my Iru wraps with crayfish to break it down but if you are using the seed form of beans ....that's excellent.

Directions

Place a pot on cooker set on medium heat and add the palm oil, allow the palm oil to belch(you would notice the oil turns translucent and slightly brown but not black). Make sure you belch for only a few minutes, add in a pint of salt and chopped onions then stir....you would notice that the onions fries easily and fast. Add in the steamed fresh tomatoes and peppers and stir about 2 minutes then add in the blended Iru along side crayfish (you can add in your fresh locust beans at this stage). Cover the pot and let mixture cook for 2 minutes.

You would notice that tomatoes looks dry as the palm oil floats to the top, add in your assorted meats (meat combination) and a little meat stock about half a cup then stir together and taste (It is essential to add in meat stock 1st before adding your dried spices, so as not to add too much spice and enable one add in more seasoning as required after tasting). Add more salt and maggi seasoning, if need be!!(but be mindful of quantity as crayfish is in the stew already). Cover pot lid and let stew cook for 3 more minutes, you would notice that the oils from the meat and palm oil is mixed and has settled on  top of the stew. If not, cover pot and let stew cook for extra 2 minutes and VIOLA.....Stew is ready!!

Serve stew with ofada rice(unpolished rice), jasmine rice, yams, unripe boiled plantain, boiled ripe plantain, fried ripe plantain(dodo) or even scented rice such as basmati rice which I did.....ENJOY!!

BACK TO SCHOOL LOOKBOOK "01"

I couldn't wait to get back to school after such a boring, long ass holiday. The summer holiday didn't turn out as planned for me, so I am glad to finally catch up with some school work. On this very occasion, the weather was a bit friendly, not as bad as it is now!! I wore a simple, plain gown with a loose flannel shirt. There are numerous ways to style a flannel shirt but that would be addressed some other time. Here I styled this plain gown in three ways.

  • Wearing the shirt as a cover up...This would be great for those that get cold easily as the shirt would act as an additional layer of coverage
  • Tying the shirt on the waist....Not everyone is comfortable wearing fitted clothing or exposing certain parts of their body, so the shirt is tied on the waist to concede pant lines or buttock shape. It can also be tied on the waist if the weather gets a bit warm after wearing it the 1st way.
  • Wear the gown as it is....Just maybe a shirt over a gown don't suit right to you!! you can wear the gown as it is.

Outfit details

Gown form TBOE
Shoes from Defacto
Shirt from Defacto
Schoolbag was thrifted.

AN EX'S DILEMMA!!!

She had just gotten back🛬 from the states and Nigeria was looking a bit weird in her eyes🤓. The airport✈ seems to look a lot smaller and busier. As she sat down waiting for her dad's driver to come pick her up at the early hours of the morning, she thought about her old and ex-lover💘 'Segun'. Segun used to be her boyfriend those days, they dated for almost a year before she traveled to the states, to further her education. He also traveled but to the United Kingdom instead for his masters. Communication between them had been 'a storm in the jungle' all those while but now that she knows he's back in Nigeria, same as her......She could feel the tingling in her tummy, as all her muscles yearns for 'Segun's' touch💏.

Ayo Ayo!!..a cranky hoarse voice🗣 called from behind her. 'Jesu mi' you startled me 😲screamed Ayo, as she was awoken from her daydream by the voice of her driver. Ayo na you be dis? see as you don fat yakata. Wetin una dey chop for dat side na?(pidgin) was the response from the surprised driver🤔.  Uncle its just food ooo says Ayo, as she covers her face in embarrassment. The loud voice of the driver had called unwanted attention to her direction and  the shy 🙈girl within her couldn't deal with the numerous amount of gaze and questioning eyes aimed at her. She swiftly made her way to the car, leaving the driver to her luggage.

The journey home wasn't a bad one as 'uncle' kept on talking about all the activities that had taken place at her absence. How their neighbor's daughter got pregnant and ran away with an okada man, How armed robbers attacked one rich chief on their street and how her younger brother broke his leg while trying to drive their dads car without his permission. She was aware of everything that had taken place but she just kept😷 quiet, saying...'is that so?' and 'okay' to his gist. Her mother had told her all this on phone the last time they spoke but she didn't want to kill his happiness, as she could see the joy😃 in his eyes and hear the excitement in his voice as he updated her with  previous events. Hope say you buy something come for me ooo, as all this children wey dey travel, dey forget common people like us! said the driver with a serious voice, on arrival to her family's compound. "How na "uncle" I bought something for you" said excited and tired Ayo. Okay was his only response as he proceeded into the compound.

Home sweet home 🤗she screamed on entering her father's compound with joy and a bit of relaxation in her voice. Don't "Home sweet home" there joor!! shouted her mother at the entrance into the main building. So you cannot come back home with one oyibo man, Ayo in this current economy, you graduated from school and you are coming back home to eat my garri!!. This girl will not kill me oooo screamed her mum in a pretentious crying voice. Mama calm down jare!! I am just getting home na....at least hug me first smiled Ayo😊. She knows her mother so well and understands her drama to perfection. I hear you said her mum, Oya go and greet you father, let me carry all the things you bought for me inside. Hope you bought that Louboutin shoe and Chanel purse I told you about oooo. There's this meeting in our church and I must show them that my child just came from America?. "Mama I did" was Ayo's reply as she ran inside to greet her father.

My lovely daughter, don't mind your mother jare said her father with a very big smile on his face as he came to hug her🤗. Your mother has been praying since yesterday as soon as you got on the plane, she didn't even let me sleep sef, she speaks out of love my dear continued her father. Mr Femi looked so old in her eyes, the grey hairs 👴on his head and face had multiplied enormously while her mother was looking all robust and glowing in all manner👱. Don't mind your mother jare, she eats all the food in the house said her dad, it seems he knew what she was thinking. Mummy, daddy can I go to my room now? I am exhausted😪 said Ayo giving her parents the puppy eye look. You can go to your room ooo but take this sim card I bought and registered for you, so you can make some calls📞 said her mother. Okay mum you're a darling, see you at dinner. Okay my love but I gave Segun your number ooo, he has been calling to ask after you and I told him you were coming back today, So he may call you. Mummy!!! haba na, anyways I will see you at dinner kisses😚 Ayo replied as she ran up the stairs to her room.

Oh my God!! So Segun knows I am in town she said rather loud and to herself as she slammed her room door shut and jumped on her bed, the excitement was just too much for her to handle🙈. She thought about kissing him 💏and all the numerous things she wanted to do to him. Her mind was filled with both sweet and bad thoughts. So he wants me back? So he still wants me as his girlfriend? She thought to herself. She had been a celibate for the four years she was in school and she was ready to give everything up to Segun ......if he still feels the same way about her and was ready for them to start afresh!!

If you enjoyed the story, you should leave a comment below saying "CONTINUE" for me to write and publish part two. Thanks for visiting once more, XOXO.

MAKEUP SERIES "03"

I was opportune to play makeup on my friend "Olivia". Her makeup application was a bit challenging😥as I had to be very careful when selecting her eye-shadow colors(very deep colors would make her eyes look tired). She was very patient and understanding as I tried several colored eye-shadows on her...till we got a suitable match🤗🤗.
So, I ended up with teal blue for her eye-shadow color as it complimented her eyes and used a lighter shade of brown for her transition eye-shadow color. We both decided a pinkish-nude lip stain was perfect for the look and surprisingly, it came out perfect😊
Some of you may be wondering, why she's on a native attire. I explained that on a previous post and you can CLICK HERE for direct link to post.
Negative comments won't be entertained on the post😾. I hope you all understand, thank you🙏.
